Adam Link

While we’re working hard on bringing you masses of Connectors, here’s an update on the service.

As you all know, our next big release will be called Adam Link and will feature many improvements over our current closed beta release, Tin Man. Apart from a massive UI overhaul and an improved and logical flow, you can expect the following updates:

New and improved Trail:
Get updates and more information from your contacts.

Notes:
Add notes after you’ve exchanged contact information.

More services:
We’ve added a lot of new services to the list and have found nice solutions to the problem of closed APIs. You can even expect to share Wii, Xbox and PS3 gamertags with E.

Better phone support:
More on this very soon!

All the other features we’re adding are still top secret, but you won’t have to hold on for much longer. If you want to be the first to see the new release, sign up for the Beta if you haven’t already!

The Amazing Stories of Adam Link

Adam Link - Coming Q2 2009

Heavy duty-development on the new release has started at the E HQ in Amsterdam. We’re currently working to implement loads and loads of user feedback we got from the previous release of E (v0.5, dubbed ‘Tin Man’) as well as many new and cool features we’ve come up with. Over the next couple of weeks we’re starting off 2009 by updating you on E’s new release, called ‘Adam Link’. Keep your eye on this blog to get the latest updates and demos.

Regarding to the way you’ll be using E, Connectors are coming. In the meanwhile you’ll be able to use E with your phone without a problem. With the new release, we have better integration and lots of new features to show you. Especially in regard to the mobile platform.

Integration Announcement

November 7th, 2008

Youtube and Brightkite

We’re happy to announce that you can now sync up your Brightkite and YouTube profiles with E. We presented these developments and more at yesterday’s Amazon Web Services event. We’re avid users over Brightkite and YouTube. Let us know if you encounter any problems with connecting in our Feedback! Stay tuned.

The login system

September 24th, 2008

The number of errors we’ve been seeing is fairly low, but one of the most common problems is the login system. This is one of the first things we’ve written when we started developing E and is due for an update. For now you should be fine with retrying a few times. If not, drop us a line through the feedback system  and we’ll have a look at it. I’ll be rewriting the login system the following days (no idea yet on how much work this will be). I’ll write a new post with more information as soon as it’s online.

Update:
The login seems to be working fairly stable now, only cookies are still a problem. This will be solved when we finish our new login system somewhere in the near future.

Twitter problems resolved

September 24th, 2008

We had some problems with the Twitter integration.
The first error warnings about this problem came in this morning.

About two hours ago we resolved the problem.
We just did a few test runs and we can assure you that it works again.
